Well, another year has come and gone here at Crown College and I’m so glad to say that I am now a senior!! I can honestly say that these last three years of my life have flown by. Ridiculously fast! But, I am also excited and proud to say that my fiancee Amanda was one of the many graduates this year that walked the platform and the halls for one last time and received their diploma. I cannot say how happy I am of her and her achievement! Also, my good friend, roommate, and fellow blogger John Connolly received his diploma. Go John!
Recently I have just finished reading a book entitled Return to Worship by Ron Owens. In this book, the author gives the reader clear evidence from the Scriptures as to why we do not worship the Lord today as we should. The entire book is written in letter form, sort of like Paul’s letters to the churches, which makes is really neat and makes for easy reading. Worship is all based on our view of God, and our view must be his view from his Word. If it is not, it is man-centered worship and it is vain glory and we know from God’s Word that it does not glorify and honor him. We must see God in all of his character and not just one. God is not just love, but he his also holy. The author encourages us to use God’s methods to do God’s work! It is not how we worship, but who we worship that should cause us to worship the way we should.
This book has been an encouragement to me, and it helped strengthen my own personal walk with the Lord. I felt so convicted as I read this book to think that I thought that I was worshipping the Lord, and I wasn’t even close. The truth is that worship is to be my way of life and not just something I do three times a day! I am to live to honor the Lord with my life in every area. He says to Be holy because he is holy.
So check out this book. It will truly encourage you to serve the Lord more and to live a life of worship. I really recommend this book, especially for Pastors and leaders in any church.
This is one of my latest works done on Photoshop. I picked up the tutorial on PSDTuts and it inspired me to be creative, and so I added some of my own design and personality to it. I included two of my dormies: Bob is on the left, and Matt is in the middle. These guys also enjoy working with Photoshop as well. This tutorial helped institute some creative ingenuity in my head, and I really enjoyed it. Check it out on PSDTuts, or comment on it and I might even put up a tutorial!
